Privacy Policy
ClickPing is a PlannedPing product. This policy explains, in plain language, what data ClickPing handles, what stays on your device, and what limited diagnostic information leaves it.
Data that stays on your device
The phone numbers you enter, your saved-message bodies, and any WhatsApp message contents you compose in ClickPing are stored locally on your device only. PlannedPing does not collect, upload, or transmit that information.
Scanning a number with the camera
ClickPing can read a phone number from a photo you take — a business card, flyer, receipt, or shop sign. The camera opens only when you tap Scan with camera. ClickPing never opens the camera on its own and does not record video or audio.
Text recognition runs entirely on your device. The photo is used only to find a number in it and is never uploaded to PlannedPing or to any third party, never added to your photo library, and never attached to a diagnostic report. ClickPing does not read your existing photos — it only ever sees the single image you just captured.
No account required
ClickPing requires no account, sign-in, or registration of any kind. There is no user profile, no login, and no data linked to your identity.
How ClickPing interacts with WhatsApp
ClickPing opens WhatsApp with the conversation and your optional message pre-filled. It never reads your chats and never sends messages on your behalf — you are always the one who taps Send. ClickPing is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or otherwise connected to Meta or WhatsApp.
Crash diagnostics (always on)
ClickPing includes always-on crash diagnostics on both platforms. They are strictly content-free: they never include the phone numbers you enter, your saved-message bodies, or any WhatsApp message contents. Where those diagnostics go differs by platform.
Android. When a crash occurs, technical information — such as the stack trace, device model, OS version, and app version — is sent to PlannedPing so we can identify and fix stability problems.
iPhone and iPad. Diagnostics are written only to Apple's on-device system log. Nothing is uploaded to PlannedPing, and the iOS app contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDK and makes no background network calls of any kind.
Usage analytics
Android. ClickPing offers optional, content-free usage analytics to help us understand which features are useful. Analytics are off by default and are only enabled if you choose to turn them on in the app settings. When enabled, they record interactions with app features (for example, which entry point you used or which screen you visited). They never include phone numbers, message bodies, or any content you type or save.
iPhone and iPad. There is no analytics upload and therefore no opt-in setting. The iOS app records the same kind of content-free events to Apple's on-device system log only — for example that a number was resolved or WhatsApp was launched — and none of it ever leaves your device or reaches PlannedPing.
Advertising (Android, free users only)
On Android, free users see a single small banner ad, served by Google's own Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK. There is no interstitial, rewarded, native, or app-open ad, and no other ad network or mediation partner. ClickPing Plus purchasers never see ads. There is no advertising on iPhone or iPad.
Every ad request is non-personalized — ClickPing never asks Google for personalized ads, and there is no toggle to turn personalization on. Google's User Messaging Platform (a certified consent management platform) gates ad requests: where consent is required, it is collected before any ad loads.
Serving any ad — personalized or not — requires Google's SDK to send a device/advertising identifier to Google's ad infrastructure to request and measure the ad; that request leaves your device to Google, a third party. PlannedPing itself never logs or collects any ad identifier, ad-unit ID, or ad-SDK error detail.
ClickPing Plus and purchases
ClickPing is free to download, and its core feature — opening WhatsApp for a typed or pasted number without saving a contact — is free and unlimited. ClickPing Plus is an optional, one-time (non-consumable) purchase that unlocks more than three saved-message templates, camera scan, and shared-image scan. There are no subscriptions and no other in-app products.
Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play on Android and the App Store on iPhone and iPad, under their own policies. PlannedPing never collects your payment details (card number, billing address) — the store's own checkout collects that directly, and ClickPing's code never has access to it.
When you complete a purchase, the store hands ClickPing an opaque token identifying that transaction. This token is held only in memory and used for exactly one purpose — confirming receipt of the purchase with the store — and is never persisted, never logged, and never sent to any PlannedPing-operated server. PlannedPing has no purchase or payments database of its own; the store processes and owns the transaction.
Permissions and app access
Android. ClickPing declares one permission:
- Internet access — required to send crash diagnostics, to send usage analytics if you opt in, and to look up and confirm a ClickPing Plus purchase through Google Play Billing.
To open WhatsApp, ClickPing declares visibility of the WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business apps so it can launch them. This is Android app-visibility (declared via <queries>), not a permission — it does not give ClickPing access to anything inside those apps.
The camera scan does not add a camera permission on Android. Tapping Scan with camera hands off to your device’s own camera app, which returns a single photo to ClickPing. Because ClickPing never operates the camera itself, its declared permission set remains exactly the one permission above.
iPhone and iPad. ClickPing requests one permission: camera access, and only when you tap Scan with camera. iOS asks you first, and declining it simply means scanning is unavailable — every other part of the app continues to work. ClickPing also declares the WhatsApp URL schemes so iOS can tell it whether WhatsApp is installed before trying to open it; this is an availability check, not access to anything inside those apps.
On both platforms, ClickPing does not request access to your contacts, photo library, microphone, location, or storage.

Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of ClickPing after a change is posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
Scope of this policy
This policy covers the ClickPing mobile apps for Android and for iPhone and iPad. Where the two differ, the platform is named above. There is no web version.
